A New Chapter

My last post was nearly 2 years ago - which seems unimaginable! But I blinked, and here I am.

Over the last 8 weeks or so I have been working hard to reinvent my website and direction.
The first step was to find a web interface that represented both myself and my work.
The second was to flush out all of the old and unrelated projects and samples that lived on my site. The third was to take a good look at myself and discover my trajectory.
And last but not least, I knew I had to start creating more, whether it was for me or someone else.

I don’t have many limits with my work. I’ve dabbled in many different environments, both professionally and personally. But I look forward to presenting a lot more work to you in 2019 - I find that while I currently have a limited amount of gear and time, the possibilities are far and wide. Yes, there will be more weddings. But there will also be more portrait sessions, documentary style work, and perhaps some more conceptual pieces that combine my knowledge of photoshop and compositing. There’s a change of some gear upgrades as well….

One of my other goals is to post here more frequently - after my weekend trips and small adventures. Not all of my photos are noteworthy, but I think sharing thoughts and snap shots on a platform other than social media is a nice way of documenting too.

Before I end this post, I’d like to fondly look back one year ago today, when I was shooting wedding photos for the second time ever in Cape Town, South Africa. You can see some of those photos here.
You can also see more moments captured on my Instagram

Happy Anniversary Katy and Dyllan.
